According to reports, it seems that actor Toby Kebbell has joined the cast of the upcoming superhero movie Bloodshot, starring Vin Diesel, Michael Sheen, Talulah Riley and Sam Heughan, among others. The Warcraft actor will reportedly portray the main villain of the movie, Axe. Principal photography on the movie will begin in July and will mark the first time that Vin Diesel will star in a live-action superhero movie. He previously borrowed his voice to the character of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy series and Avengers: Infinity War.
Apart from this, the movie will also reunite Diesel with Fast and Furious producer Neal Moritz. It’s the first time the two will collaborate outside the world-famous franchise. The director will be Dave Wilson, Tim miller’s partner, who directed box-office hit Deadpool. At the moment, nobody knows when the superhero flick is scheduled for release. It’s worth noting that the Bloodshot comic book series was created by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton, back in 1992 at publisher Valiant.

The story of Bloodshot follows a mortally wounded soldier who was resurrected and saved by an incredible and cutting-edge nanotechnology. Soon, his task will be to find and gather outcasts with huge super powers called harbingers”. Not many people may know that Bloodshot was an incredibly successful comic book series, with 110 issues and over 7.5 million copies sold.
As for Valiant, its intellectual property is like an undiscovered well of wonders. It has over 2,000 superhero characters, each with their unique stories and powers. In fact, it is the third largest superhero library, only behind Marvel and DC Comics. Also, it’s the only one that no major company owns, for now. As for its comic books, they are the best reviewed of the past five years, beating other more famous competitors.
