The tradition of brides who wear white wedding dressed is present in most parts of the world and most people cannot see it in any other way. But famous tattoo artist Kat von D has decided to break the norm once more and wear a blood-red wedding gown which looked like something out of Maleficent. On Sunday, she and her musician husband Rafael Reyes (or Leafar Seyer), tied the knot in a once-in-a-lifetime ceremony. Fans might remember that the two actually got married back in February in an unexpected ceremony. Now, they celebrated their wedding with another such event, this time a lot bigger.
Kat’s wedding invited read “en vida y en muerte”, which seemed to have been the theme of the entire event, which means “in life and in death”. Not at al surprising right, especially when we’re talking about Kat von D. Adolfo Sanchez reportedly designed her wedding gown which took inspiration from the bride herself. Kat is famous for her goth-meets-pin up style which makes her so unique-looking. Red is also one of her favorite colors and that blood-red gown couldn’t have been more suited for her personality.
Kat von D ties the knot once again
In certain cultures, the color red symbolizes luck, which seems perfect for a wedding. Apart from this, those who were expecting a traditional wedding probably don’t know too much about Kat von D. The couple is also expecting their first child together, a son, and the bride’s wedding dress made her growing baby bump look spectacular.
In Instagram posts, Reyes gushed about his beautiful bride and posted a beautiful photo of her. Kat’s hairstylist, Adir Abergel, also posted a beautiful photo of the happy couple. The red ruffles and veil, which were completed by her incredible hairstyle and dress looked like something out of a fairytale.
