Young boy shoots 19-year-old alleged spy in new ISIS video

The Internet is in shock after Islamic State fighters posted a new video on the group’s Furquan media outlet. People were horrified after seeing how a young boy shoots an alleged spy in this new ISIS video.

The video, which is about 13 minutes long, was posted on Tuesday March 11. It depicted a boy shooting Muhammad Musallam, an Israeli Arab, on the account of being a spy that had signed up as a jihadi to obtain information and report it to Israeli intelligence.

At the beginning of the video, 19-year-old Mussallam is shown sitting in a room and wearing the notorious orange jumpsuit. He explains how he became a jihadi fighter and that he was trained by Mossad. He said one of the reasons he had joined the group was his father and older brother who encouraged him.

Later in the video, Musallam is accompanied outside in the field where he is shot in the head by a boy who was described by an older, French-speaking jihadist militant as one of the “cubs of the caliphate”.

Musallam was told to bow down on his knees and the boy, wearing a military uniform and armed with a pistol shot him in the forehead. Three additional shots were fired into his body.

Israeli officials haven’t confirmed the authenticity of the footage which was also posted on Twitter by various supporters of the Islamic State.

In the video, Musallam is also heard saying that he signed up as an Islamic State fighter in order to gather information regarding artillery cache, basis and Palestinian recruits.

Both Israel and Musallam’s family said he was not a spy. According to an Israeli security official, he traveled to Syria in October of 2014 so he can fight along other Islamic State militants.

The 19-year-old’s father, Said Musallam, also said he couldn’t have been a spy. He added that his son was on a tourist trip in Turkey on month ago and had gone missing since then.

The parents were in East Jerusalem when they were given the news of their son’s death. Both of them consider the video was made to shock the public and that their son was captured and made to say he was a spy to have a reason to kill him in the video.
