Everybody who watched the newly-released Avengers: Infinity War was in shock at how merciless villain Thanos was. His goal was to bring balance to the universe and in the end, he did it. The Titan used his extremely powerful Infinity gauntlet with all the Infinity Stones attached and fulfilled his mad ambition. However, taking into account the final scene of the movie, fans of the Marvel universe are now wondering whether or not that change will please him. Could he even end up being a hero in the upcoming, yet-to-be-titled, Avengers 4?
Still, everyone should keep in mind one thing: Thanos is not a hero by any means. He kills a bunch of people even before he has all the Infinity Stones. He thinks that his murders and massacres are for the greater good, so that the remaining people would live in a better, more prosperous world. He even takes pride in what he did to Gamora and Nebula as children. However, the fact that he is still evil might not mean that he will not work with the Avengers soon.
Thanos might align with the Avengers soon
Those who know a thing or two about comics might be aware of the fact that Thanos does work with the Avengers at one point. During his Infinity gauntlet story, which the movie is based on, he fails to keep the stones to himself after the snap. So, in a moment of carelessness, he leaves his physical body unattended while he is on an astral walk. Nebula is the one who steals the Gauntlet and almost kills Thanos in the process. However, Doctor Strange and Adam Warlock, a character that is yet to appear in the MCU, save him.
After Warlock reads Thanos’ soul, he Titan admits that he always felt unworthy of wielding the Infinity Gauntlet. They all work together to take it away from Nebula and Thanos retires to think about his mistakes. It will be difficult to adapt this for Avengers 4, but who knows? Maybe someone else will steal the Gauntlet from him and he will still have to work with the heroes to stop that person.
