Pamela Anderson has recently decided to open up about her interesting relationship with the controversial WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. She has admitted that she feels concerned about his safety at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where he has taken refuge for the past six years. Assange claimed political asylum there in order to avoid extradition to Sweden because of a long-refuted rape allegation. In a recent interview, the 50-year old Baywatch star revealed that she first met Assange years ago through a common friend, famous designer Vivienne Westwood.
Since then, they have remained close friends, and even sparked some romance rumors when Anderson was seen leaving the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Moreover, Assange is also wanted by the United States and faces espionage charges that have to do with the classified information that WikiLeaks published. Even if Pamela Anderson has not revealed exactly what the nature of their relationship is, she admitted numerous times that he is one of her favorite people. She revealed that his internet access has been cut off and that she wasn’t allowed to visit him when she was in London.
The star says that the air in the embassy is horrible because he is not allowed to open his windows and he cannot go outside, a worse treatment that that of prisoners. Anderson also thinks that he has been wrongly accused of a lot of things and this is why people hate him. Currently, Pamela Anderson is living in the South of France with her boyfriend, 32-year old soccer player Adil Rami.
