Marine's Wedding Photo Showcases True Emotion

Maggie and Marine Caleb Earwood as they pray for their marriage

An endearing photograph taken by Dwayne Schmidt at Marine’s Caleb Earwood wedding brought tears of joy to the United States amidst Memorial Day events.

Marine Corps Cpl. Caleb Earwood and Maggie Earwood joined together in holy matrimony surrounded by beloved family members and dear friends. To the wedding attendees, they now joined before the eyes of the world, sending a strong message about faith and love.

The wedding’s emotional capture was taken in Asheville, North Carolina when the two were brought together by family before the altar ceremony. What happened triggered a wave of emotions.

Hidden on a staircase behind a corner where her soon to be husband was staying, Maggie took Caleb’s hand when he started praying for their marriage.

“We were about to take our first steps in life together, and we didn’t want to take a step without it being in God’s will,”

said Caleb Earwood.

It is clear that the purity of the moment drew everyone into an admiring silence. Both Maggie and the photographer Dwayne Schmidt told the press that they were hardly keeping from crying, such was the intensity of emotion.

Schmidt declared that of the many weddings that went before the camera, this particular one was to be remembered. Before Maggie and Caleb got to see each other at the altar, they prayed for their marriage and lives.

The photo was posted on Facebook and it rapidly went viral with more than 6,078 shares and over 38,000 likes.

Maggie and Caleb grew up in Asheville and were high school friends. They started dating two years ago and decided to join their lives forever in matrimony.

Currently, Caleb, who has been in the Marines Corps for the past three years, is stationed at Camp Lejeune. However, with Maggie, he plans to live in Jacksonville, N.C.

The wedding photograph of Maggie and Caleb draw so many positive comments that join their voice in saying: this is what America is supposed to be about. Love and commitment in the eyes of God.
