The Merc with a Mouth will be entertaining fans from all over the world soon, once again. On Thursday, a new full-length trailer for the upcoming second installment of the franchise was finally released. And considering how much of a cultural phenomenon the first Deadpool was, it’s only normal for the internet to buzz about what is going to happen next. The trailer is full of jokes and embarrassing moments, the same way the first movie was, and fans couldn’t be happier. Deadpool has never been a normal superhero movie, and we’re glad that is the case once again.
One of the funniest lines in the new trailer comes from the new character Domino (Zazie Beetz), who says that their new team’s name, X-Force, which Deadpool proposes, is a bit derivative. It’s interesting that many fans of the comic books might know a thing or two about some other very derivative names like the X-Terminators or the X-Corps. Another funny moment is when Deadpool appears in a wheelchair, a gag that is supposed to hint at Professor X from X-Men.

As for the action, it looked a lot more intense than in the first movie, which is a very good thing. At one point, the trailer introduces a placard which says that this movie was created by the same studio which also made The Devil Wears Prada and 27 Dresses. However, even with its funny and meta moments, this trailer seemed the most like a normal one for an action movie with superheroes. Especially when compared with previous teasers and the trailers for the first movie.
Josh Brolin as Cable is another important part of the trailer. He seems to be liked by everyone, despite the fact that he also plays Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18.
