Recently, action star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson opened up about his public feud with his Fate of the Furious co-star, actor Vin Diesel. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the actor offered a few more details about what exactly sparked that quarrel and what exactly pushed the former pro wrestler over the edge. Fans noticed that in the movie, Toretto and Hobbs have only one scene together that looked like they didn’t even film it together at the same time. Which was true, according to Johnson. The two reportedly didn’t meet during the filming of the blockbuster movie.
Johnson said that him and Diesel had some discussions, including a face-to-face talk in his trailer. Johnson’s conclusion was that they have completely different views regarding their approach to moviemaking and collaborating. The feud was there because it reportedly took them some time to figure this out. Now everything is clear between them and Johnson admitted that he is thankful for this clarity, no matter if they’ll ever work together again.
Dwayne Johnson opens up about Vin Diesel feud
Their feud first became public back in 2016. At the time, the Rampage star posted a photo on his Instagram account in which he was complaining about the behavior of one of his co-stars. He even called that at the time unidentified man a “candyass” and “unprofessional”. Later, Johnson confirmed that there was a beef between him and Diesel. However, according to the new interview, they moved on from that.
Still, he is not sure that they will appear together in the ninth installment of the franchise, to come out in 2020. At the moment, the former wrestler said that he is focused on making the Hobbs and Shaw (Jason Statham) spinoff as good as it can be. The movie is scheduled to come out in 2019.
