This weekend, the newly-renamed MTV Movie & TV Awards took place at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar and brought together the biggest stars from a wide range of domains, like movies, TV shows, and music. Tiffany Haddish hosted the big event and even went home with two golden popcorn trophies herself for her amazing comedic performance in Girls Trip: Best Comedic Performance and Scene Stealer. As for the nominees, Netflix’s worldwide phenomenon Stranger Things and Marvel’s incredibly successful and groundbreaking superhero movie Black Panther led the pack, with seven nominations each.

There were 14 categories from which the winners were chosen. The event also featured a number of incredible performances from Chloe x Halle, who are going to open for Beyonce and Jay-Z’s On The Road II tour this summer. Nick Jonas also performed in a duet with Mustard. Some of the night’s special award went to Lena Waithe, the Emmy-winning writer, and actor Chris Pratt. After recently experimenting with genderless categories, the event abandoned them for good. Four of the five Best Performance in a Show nominees were female, while two of the five nominees in the Best Performance in a Movie category were also female.

Marvel’s Black Panther won in the Best Movie category, and some of the stars present to receive the award said that this was not a movie for black people, but a movie for everybody. Its main star, actor Chadwick Boseman, also took home the Best Performance in a Movie award and the Best Hero award. The movie’s villain, played by Michael B. Jordan, was awarded the Best Villain golden popcorn.

Stranger Things took home the Best Show award, along with its main star, Millie Bobby Brown, who won the Best Performance in a Show award. The Best On-Screen Team award went to the IT Losers Club, while the Best Fight golden popcorn was won by the Wonder Woman versus the German soldiers scene from her incredibly-successful solo movie.

As sad as it may sound, it is the harsh reality. It seems that filming for the eight and final season of HBO’s worldwide phenomenon Game of Thrones is nearing its end. It’s interesting that some old and new actors on the show along with the crew already had their send off a few weeks ago. However, there are a few cast members that are still around filming scenes. One of them is actress Emilia Clarke, who portrays Daenerys Targaryen on the show. Recently, she was seen in Belfast, near the Titanic Studios.

It’s clear that Clarke has been filming some final scenes until recently. However, a very recent Instagram photo might prove that she too is now done with Game of Thrones for good. It is a very emotional moment for both fans and the cast, and according to the caption of the photo, Clarke has left the land that she called home for about a decade. She also thanked the show for offering her the opportunity to live a life that she never dreamt about. Clarke also mentioned her “family” that she will never stop missing, referring to the rest of the cast and the crew of the show.

What’s even cuter is that some actors even left comments on her post. One of them was Jason Momoa, who played Daenerys’ husband Khal Drogo back in Season 1. Another one was John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly, a character that’s still alive and well in the show. Lena Headey, who portrays the evil and mischievous Cersei Lannister, didn’t miss the opportunity to also leave a sweet comment on her cast-mate and friend’s photo.

It’s interesting that right the night before, Emilia posted another photo of her with other cast mates including Conleth Hill (Varys) and showrunner Dan Weiss. They were attending a Liam Gallagher concert, right in Belfast.

The opening ceremony of the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup which is taking place in Russia was full of exciting moments. It featured a welcome speech from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, dancing, singing and… British singer Robbie Williams flipping his middle finger to about 6 billion people on live TV. However, it seems that Fox has already apologized for that gesture through a spokesperson, on Thursday. According to them, this worldwide event was produce by a third party and only broadcasted live on Fox. They did not know what was going to happen during Williams’ performance and apologized to everyone who may have felt offended by that gesture.

Robbie Williams performed live on the field of the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, right before the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia started. This match kicked off the World Cup which is scheduled to end on July 15. This opening ceremony apparently did not air in the United Kingdom, but it most likely did all over the world, including the United States.  It seems that Fox and Telemundo own the English and Spanish language rights for this year’s World Cup.

Robbie Williams’ gesture was very hard to miss and looked intentional as he did it right in front of the camera that was filming him up close. He was singing his hit single Rock DJ when the controversial moment happened. Moreover, Williams appeared to have changed the lyrics too into something along the lines of “I did this for free”. Immediately after singing this, he flipped the bird.

Apart from this, he even looked at the giant screen above to see if his gesture was caught on camera. Probably to reassure himself that everyone saw it perfectly. Robbie Williams is the rumored new judge on the upcoming seasons of UK’s The X-Factor.

It seems that we finally got the answer that everyone was waiting for regarding who bit Beyonce at a Jay-Z concert after party back in December. After months of guesses, scenarios and international distress, we now know who the culprit was, thanks to Tiffany Haddish’s reveal. For those who are unfamiliar with this story, a certain actress got a bit too close to Jay-Z at that after party and Bey had to step in. Haddish was present there and needed to be stopped by the Lemonade singer herself from attacking that actress.

During a large number of interviews, Haddish talked about that encounter in hilarious detail, but always avoided revealing who that person was. But the internet never sleeps so people started looking for suspects and narrowed the list down to two names: Sara Foster and Sanaa Lathan. They both strongly denied biting Beyonce but according to many outlets, the culprit was none other than Lathan. Recently, Haddish has also confirmed this in a recent interview.

But Haddish says that she never tried to ruin Lathan’s career in any way and that she never even told anyone her name.

Her point was that Beyonce kept her from going to jail that night because she would have defended the singer. Clearly, that would have ended her own career. As for Lathan, back in March, she posted on Twitter that she did not do the biting. However, she mentioned that if she did it, it would have probably been a love bite. However, Lathan might not even remember that night because as Haddish said, Beyonce believed that she was not in her right mind when she attacked her.

A single text message has been at the center of the huge Kesha versus Dr. Luke scandal and it has apparently involved both fellow pop stars Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Kasha has accused the producer of sexual abuse and it seems that now, the content of that text message has been revealed. According to the court documents which Dr. Luke filed refuting Kesha’s accusations also claim that the singer also accused the producer of raping Katy Perry.

It seems that Kesha texted Lady Gaga and told her this back in February 2016. She also told Lady Gaga that Dr. Luke raped her too, in the same text message. The filing then says that following this text message, Lady Gaga also began spreading negative messages about the producer all over social media and in the press, with Kesha’s encouragement. It’s interesting that before the contents of the message were revealed, it was only known that the text contained a reference to another big artist that Dr. Luke allegedly raped. Kesha herself submitted the text to the judge who kept it sealed.

In July last year, Dr. Luke asked Gaga to turn over the texts and testify in this case, which she did. It seems that the same thing happened to Katy Perry, but her testimony is still undisclosed. The producer also denied ever giving Kesha drugs without her consent and raping her.

It’s interesting that according to Dr. Luke’s legal team, Katy Perry confirmed that he never raped her. They called Kesha’s accusations “irresponsible and baseless” and disrespectful for both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke. In his defamation suit, the music producer seeks damages for all the harm that these false and absurd accusations have caused him.

Movie sequels have been here since forever. We are already familiar with those second and third (sometimes fourth and fifth) installments that movie goers no longer see them like something special and unique. After all, they are installments of a first, usually successful movie. However, there are certain categories of sequels, like the ones that nobody asks for, and the ones that come naturally, after an incredibly successful and appreciated movie. There are certain classics out there that got the sequels they truly deserved, like The Godfather II or Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. But not any movie can be those movies, sadly.

The sequel to the majorly successful animated movie The Incredibles, which came out 14 years ago, was supposed to be part of the same category. The original was a superhero comedy that was full of life and instantly became a Pixar classic. Director Brad Bird came back for this sequel but unfortunately, the level was simply not high enough. The Incredibles 2 is fun and one of the purest forms of entertainment, with some elements that people might recognize from the first. But the problem here is just that: there doesn’t seem to be a sense of discovery. You feel like nothing new gets revealed to you.

The Incredibles 2 doesn’t live up to the expectations

In fact, in stead of being a continuation of this superhero family’s adventures, it feels more like recycled material. It’s like a replay of something that we have already seen 14 years ago. The plot is once again simple, with the entire family being caught between saving the world and taking care of their own household and lives.

The Incredibles 2 was most likely greenlit because of the recent superhero craze, in the hope that something great would come out of it. Unfortunately, this sequel has too little of what made the original superhero movie truly incredible.

On Sunday, reality star Kylie Jenner’s millions of fans experienced a shock when she decided to suddenly remove all of the photos that features her daughter’s face from her Instagram page. She even cropped the 4-month old Stormi out of some of them. After that, the makeup mogul shared a new photo in which she shows off her freckles, but in which the baby’s face still remains hidden. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star captioned the photo with the phrase “I spy with my little eye…”

It wasn’t long until one of her many followers noticed the change and commented on the photo, asking her to explain the reason why she cropped her daughter out of every photo. Kyle replied and admitted to doing that but explained that she simply didn’t want to share any photos of Stormi at the moment. The reality star didn’t say what was the actual reason behind this unexpected move. Fans were surprised mostly because she recently posted a photo in which Stormi could be seen, while she was holding her in a Gucci baby carrier. This, along with some other photos in which the baby’s face remains hidden have not been removed by Kylie.

But Kylie’s move should not come as a surprise because she has kept certain aspects of motherhood private before. Let’s just remember that nobody knew for sure whether or not she was pregnant until Stormi was born.

About two months after famous Swedish DJ Avicii passed away, his death certificate has finally been released, if the document obtained by TMZ is indeed the real thing. The famous music producer and DJ, whose real name was Tim Bergling, passed away on April 20 after a supposed suicide while he was on holiday in Muscat, Oman. The document that has recently been released claims to be the star’s. However, many fields are blacked out, including his name and date of birth. According to it, the DJ, who was 28-years old when he died, also has his passing’s date listed according to the Hijri calendar and it’s April 8, 1439.

In the same document, his nationality is listed as Swedish, as everybody knew, and his religion as Christian. However, the fact that his real name and date of birth have been blacked out of the document made many people sure that the death certificate does not belong to the late DJ. Fans may know that back in 2016, the famous music producer decided to retire from touring as he suffered from depression and ill health.

It seems that the pace that he was working at, because he was a perfectionist, led to him suffering from extreme stress. After he retired from touring he wanted to find a balance and do what he loved most, music. According to some reports, his posthumous album is going to be released by the end of the year.

According to sources with knowledge, Kendall has been casually dating Ben Simmons for a few weeks. As for Anwar, he was dating actress and model Nicola Peltz for some time. It’s interesting that after news broke out about Kendall kissing him, Peltz unfollowed the entire Hadid family on Instagram and deleted all the photos with him. He still has photos with her on his Instagram, but it seems that they broke up in May, this year.

One of the most talked about moments, which some fans even managed to capture, was when the two singers showed their twins, Sir and Rumi, for the first time in a photo.

In fact, fans have noticed, their real babies appear in another video, towards the end of the show. That’s a video that captures their sweet family life, and it also includes glimpses of Blue Ivy. Moreover, it shows bey being pregnant and later, her holding her two babies.

As for their tour, after starting in Cardiff, it will stop in 15 cities in Europe and the United Kingdom, and 21 cities in North America. The original On the Run tour took place back in 2014, during which the couple performed six weeks of sold-out concerts on the biggest arenas of the world. Back in 2016, Beyonce went on her own tour, the Formation World Tour, which supported her album called Lemonade.

On Wednesday, the first full-length trailer for the upcoming A Star Is Born musical has finally been released. And if some people didn’t already know what an incredible musician Lady Gaga is, this movie will surely convince them. It’s her debut in a Hollywood lead-role and by the looks of it, it will be a very successful one. This Bradly Cooper-directed movie might even receive some Oscar nods, further strengthening Lady Gaga’s abilities as a songwriter, performer and now, actress.

This project has been in the works for years. It is intended as a remake of the 1937, 1954, and 1976 iterations of this music industry romance. Reboots with Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce have been in development over the years, but none saw the light of day. This new movie follows Cooper as Jackson Maine, an aging artist who takes a shy but very talented singer named Ally (Lady Gaga) under his caring wing. One of the most obvious things in this trailer was Matthew Libatique’s incredible cinematography. Certain shots in there scream Oscar nomination and this could bring him yet another one after Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan.

A Star is Born, indeed

For A Star is Born, some of the most talented and successful music producers right now united their efforts into an incredible soundtrack. This is actually thanks to Gaga herself, who wanted to keep the creative part in her garden, with producers like Mark Ronson, Lukas Nelson and even DJ White Shadow and famous songwriter Diane Warren.

Another interesting fact is that Gaga insisted to have all the performances in the movie recorded live on set. And the trailer shows that and the emotion in the performances is visible. According to Lady Gaga, people can always tell when you’re lip syncing and especially in a movie, that might hurt its chances of success. A Star is Born hits theaters on October 5, the best time to be considered for the awards season.
