The new Apple Watch Hermes represents the company’s attempt to attract an audience passionate about style to go even further into buying luxury items. So far, it has been a difficult road going on, but it might have just realized the best way to do this.
At this week’s Apple item launch in San Francisco, the organization said that it is associating with France high-class company Hermès to launch an Apple Watch that has a customized Hermès interface for the most pretentious clients. Three different wristbands, hand crafted by Hermès in Europe, will be placed in the brand’s high-end set when the timepieces begin to be sold in select shops on Oct 5.
The organization has also unveiled the devices’ costs, and these watches are not cheap at all. Here is the complete list for these models:
- $1,100 for a 38mm model with one band in Hermes’ formal product terms
- $1,150 for a 42mm model with one band
- $1,250 for a 38mm model with the double band, this being one of Hermès’ trademarks and it sure to become a crowd favorite very soon
- $1,500 for a 42mm model with a cuff
Maybe the most amazing thing, beyond representing Apple’s initial luxury-brand collaboration related to the Apple Watch, is that these timepieces are truly eye-catching, at least from the first impressions at the event. The double bands in tanned leather set combined with the squared frame, all built within stainless steel carcass, remember a Hermès Cape Cod, and these models look first like high-class watches, and second like typical devices. This Hermès limited edition, furthermore, is sold for no less than $2,900.
The watches’ band will be offered in extra colors as well. A double band, for example, will be made in bleu jean, capucine, fauve and étain. Colors for the other bands are to be discovered on the Hermès official website.
The past model of the famous Apple Watch received a ton of dissension for its overall look, an uncharacteristic mistake for Apple items. Experts said it that this was, besides other factors, unpleasant and tedious, which did not help to make it enjoyable for the style passionate it was aimed for, offering watches to fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld and many others.
This new edition might earn achievements where its forerunner did not, and just soon enough. Recently, the high-class team LVMH, that operates Europe watch manufacturer TAG Heuer, declared it would make its own competitor for the Apple Watch, a model presumably more eye-catching, and at over $1,500, it will be truly a high-class item.
