2K Games and Firaxis Games just revealed that yes, that ‘Advent’ we kept hearing about during the previous week is in fact XCOM2.
Welcome to the world of sequels where alien forces that have turned all your efforts to dust in XCOM Enemy Unknown are now keeping the slavery leash on Earth.
It is up to you to take to arms and free humanity from the alien invasion.
As a short review and refreshing of our memory, back in 1993 there was this game called UFO: Enemy Unknown. In 1995, X-COM Terror from the Deep continued the work of the ‘93 creation and spawned an entire franchise of strategy games that in 2001 seemed to come to and end with X-COM enforcer.
Alas, many more hours and bits of life were invested in the revived sequel of 2012 XCOM Enemy Unknown. And we can guarantee that many more will be invested in the XCOM2.
Currently, just by tactics and strategy fans who are looking for an incredibly detailed experience and are the owners of Windows, Linux and Mac devices that can support the sequel.
So, put on your fighting gear and save humanity by managing the rebel forces, battling the alien race to a zero and relentlessly keep on the move.
We do mean relentlessly. An almost unlimited number of maps to play on will keep them soldiers going. Speaking of which, there are five new updated to the soldier classes that can be super customizable. Customize your enemy too. And engage in a year 2035 combat.
In November 2015 XCOM 2 will be released for the operating systems mentioned above. Do not fret. Previous experience has taught us that XCOM was released for Xbox360, PS3 and PC at for the first time.
In 2014 XCOM was also made available for Linux and Android.
Therefore, there’s a pretty good chance that XCOM 2 will see its release on console too, just at a later date. Older console versions will probably be skipped this turn, turning the attention to PS4 and Xbox One.
More news are expected to follow at E3 – Electronic Entertainment Expo bound to take place between June 16th and June 18th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
